*Celebrating Cosme-de.com 's Anniversary!

Hello everyone! So I know you may be all wondering why I have another Cosme-de.com post up - as my other post about them went up this month too but I wanted to tell you all about how you could save a few pennies and it's in collaboration with Cosme-de.com. I cannot recommend this company enough! You have seen my reviews about this company and they never fail to deliver.

I believe that is it their 7th anniversary and this offer is only available till the end of April, so it isn't giving you much time but if you want to save some money on very good products than I would highly recommend you go see what's on offer here.

As part of the collaboration, Cosme-de.com have kindly let me review 3 products which are currently on offer and I will tell you the savings you could get if you were to purchase these items.

The first product I am going to be talking about is the Clinique Moisture Surge Extended Thirst Relief moisturiser.  This product is available in 3 different sizes but there is a promotion on two of them. You can get 15ml (which is the one I have) for £10 or 14 USD. You can get the 50ml for £30 or 44 USD and you are saving about £2 on this product! You can also get the 75ml for £42.00 or 62 USD which you save about £3 on that! Although it isn't a lot, I still think every little helps! I absolutely love this product and it sinks in so quickly and makes my skin feel so soft and my skin never feels dry but it doesn't feel greasy either. It is a very light formula but it is wonderful and I cannot wait to purchase a bigger tub of this. I absolutely love the packaging as well! The 15ml is perfect for travelling.

The next product I am going to talk about is the Kiehl's creamy eye treatment with avocado and I have wanted to try this product for such a long time. I have never tried a product from Kiehl's before but I love this product so much, I definitely feel that I will purchase some more products from their ranges. This is again a really creamy but soft cream and it sinks into the skin well. It is really travel friendly and a little goes a long way, so this will last me ages. The colour is a little off putting but once you apply it to the skin, you can't see it once it's rubbed in. You can currently purchase this for £25 or 37 USD but it is usually 54 USD and therefore you are saving £10 which is amazing. I would highly recommend you get your hands on this product while you can for this amazing price.

The last product I am going to talk about is the Dior Lip Maximizer Collagen Activ Lip Plumper and mine is in the shade 001. I am not one for lip plumpers and lip gloss but I do love this product. I had watched a few of Velvetgh0st's videos and she had mentioned this product several times and so I was very excited to try it. This is such a great product and I love how you can apply it on it's own and it looks so natural. I have been wearing this on it's own because it just makes my lips look so fresh and plump (As the name would suggest) and your lips do tingle but it does wear off. If I don't eat or drink this product stays on my lips for 4/5 hours which is so good. You can currently buy this product for £20 or 29 USD and normally it is 43 USD and so you are saving around £8/£9 which is such a great saving! I will be really upset when this product runs out but I'll be sure to make a repurchase.

I absolutely love these products and I will definitely repurchase them when they run out. I would highly recommend you go on over to Cosme-de.com and check out what products they have on offer for their anniversary.

I would like to thank Cosme-de.com for giving me this opportunity and letting me review these products.

Have you tried any of these products?

Wanting a Prom Dress?

Hello everyone, so today's post is going to be a little different! As I'm sure you are aware, prom is fast approaching and I wanted to talk about a website that has a dress for every occasion, not just prom! I was really pleased when the lovely Lisa from Aviva Dress contacted me to talk about the online shop which has an array of wedding dresses, bridesmaid dresses, prom dresses, evening dresses, formal dresses, accessories, headpieces, jewellery and so much more! I must have spent hours browsing!

Now, sadly I have already purchased my prom dress but I wanted to give some inspiration to anyone who may not have got a prom dress yet and may have an interest in this shop.

I decided to pick my top 3 favourite prom dresses from the online shop and tell you my thoughts on them.

2014 Empire Strapless Sleeveless Black Chiffon Glitter Long Prom Dresses/Evening Dresses With Rhinestone UK #FP478
Dress number 1 that I chose was this lovely 2014 Empire Strapless Sleeveless Black Chiffon Glitter Long Prom Dresses/Evening Dresses With Rhinestone UK. This was on offer and it was £59.99 instead of £299.99 which is a huge saving! I'm not sure if it's still on offer now but it is still a gorgeous dress. It's very simple but very flattering for prom as it is elegant.

Empire Halter Sleeveless Chiffon Royal Blue Stylish Long Prom Dress/Evening Dress With Beading UK 2014 #FP101
Dress Number 2 that I chose is Empire Halter Sleeveless Chiffon Royal Blue Stylish Long Prom Dress/Evening Dress With Beading UK 2014. It is again a really elegant dress and this time it is in royal blue and it is just a lovely colour. This again was on offer for £84.99 but the originally £299.99.

A-line Sweetheart Sleeveless White Organza Glitter Amazing Short Prom Dresses/ Party Dresses With Beading UK #FM854
Dress Number 3 that I chose is a short prom dress because my other choices were long but that is just my personal preference. This dress is the A-line Sweetheart Sleeveless White Organza Glitter Amazing Short Prom Dresses/ Party Dresses With Beading UK. It was on offer for £69.99 and I'm not sure if it still is but the original price is £299.99. This is still a really elegant dress but if you are looking for something shorter, this could be the one for you.

So there you have it, there are my top 3 prom dresses which I picked off the website. It was very hard to decide as they are all so lovely and I just want to thank Lisa for contacting me.

What prom dress would you choose?

Guest Post: Favourite Makeup Colour Palettes For Spring 2015.

Hello everyone. So this introduction is going to be very short and sweet. Today's post is going to be a guest post and it is by the lovely Brittany Jeffries. She is going to be telling you all about her favourite make up colour palettes for spring 2015!

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Spring – oh, how we have missed you! The sun's getting warmer, nights are getting longer, and colours are getting brighter. Just like a good spring house cleaning, I feel like it's time to revamp my spring makeup collection with some new colour palettes. This spring season, all trends are pointing towards plums, reds, electric blues, and the forever stylish "natural" nude. Check out some ideas for how to rock these hues all season long!
Perfect Plum is all the rage on the fashion circuit. Transition out of winter's dark blacks and blues with this rich and mysterious hue that's bound to be the next big lip tint. It's a dark take that pairs perfectly with light pink tops or bright pink pants for more seasonally appropriate attire, but looks just as edgy with grays, blacks, and browns. You can also rock this colour on your eyes – try an eyeshadow from the Sephora Collection for an interesting alternative to the traditional smokey eye. Although this shade of purple looks great with every eye colour, it really brings out blue eyes and makes them pop! Pair it with brown eyeliner for a look that's really chic.
A few shades over on the spectrum, red is always vying for a comeback, and it won't be denied this season. When I think of red, I think classic. It's a favourite that looks good on everyone, which is perhaps why it keeps coming back time and again! In the words of Taylor Swift, "You got that James Dean daydream look in your eye, and I got that red lip classic thing you like." Bold red lips are in! This month, try switching up the tone to an orange-red for something bright and cheerful that's still every bit as dramatic. If you really want a bold look, get creative with the geometric, retro craze, by adding a thick line of orange-red eyelinerDo this either with a go-faster stripe on the wing, or from the middle of your bottom lid to the corner of the eye for a look that'll seriously spice up your appearance.
Inspired by the mod style of the 50's, this spring, working electric blues into your makeup collection has never been easier. Electric blue shadows and liners can be paired with any bright coloured tops and bottoms, to make your look more playful. Electric blue is the one colour that spans the all genres of fashion. Chic all-white outfits, geo-colour blocked, contemporary all-black and even goth trends can rock electric blue. Here, adventurous makeup lovers can also try the go-faster stripe or another graphic eye and adapt it to look wild, flirty or just exceptionally unique. Gals with brown eyes know the struggle of making their eyes stand out, and electric blue looks especially great with darker eyes colours!
The nude look, in my mind is where make-up originated. Isn't that why many of us wear makeup? So that we look fresh-faced and effectively cover up all of our little marks and dark under-eye circles, without looking like we have any makeup on? To fully achieve the nude face trend, preparation is key to being able to use less cosmeticsThe Isomers brand from EVINE Live is affordable and offers skin care essentials for every skin type. Tend to your trouble spots with a cream, peel or cleanser that's well-equipped to sort it out. Add a swipe of mascara, and make sure your brows are on point! Then simply finish your look with a moisturising lippy for a dewy-fresh face.

I can't wait to leave my dry skin and depressing winter colours behind this spring season! What colour palette are you most excited for?

I would like to thank the lovely Brittany Jefferies for writing this post and I hope you've all really enjoyed reading this post!

*Cosme-de.com Review - Introducing myself to new brands.

Hello everyone. I hope you're having a lovely start to April! I'm really sorry I've not been posting as much recently and the reason behind this, is that I've been studying for my exams! As you'll all know now, I'm in Year 11 and this year is very crucial for me, so unfortunately blogging has had to take a step back for the moment but I'm going to try and write as many posts as I can. I know that I didn't manage to get all the posts up that I should have last month but revision has been very intense. I must apologise also to some PR companies because my reviews are a little delayed because I just haven't found the time to write.

Anyway, today's post is about the lovely company Cosme-de.com which you will have seen on my blog once before back in January and if you didn't read that post you can read it here. They are a lovely company and I feel so lucky to have had the chance to work with them again. Last time I was lucky enough to review a perfume but this time, I was lucky enough to be able to review a mix of both skincare and make up. I was able to choose the products which I received and I decided to pick products that I had never tried before and so I picked products from Clarins and Avène. They came packaged so nicely and safely and they came in about 9 days which I was super impressed by.

The two items I chose were the Clarins Eye Collection which includes the; Clarins Wonderful Perfect Mascara, Clarins Eye Revive Beauty Flash, Clarins Instant Smooth Perfecting Touch and a white cosmetics bag. Then I chose the Avène Gentle Toner.

From the Clarins Eye Collection, I really enjoyed using the eye revive beauty flash morning and night and I loved to use the Instant Smooth Perfecting Touch before I applied my make up. As for the mascara which is the wonder perfect mascara, I really liked it. I didn't love using it but it was a nice mascara to wear and it did lengthen my lashes a lot. I still wouldn't be able to justify the price of this mascara if I were to repurchase it.  This Eye Collection is £17 GBP which is a really good price!

My favourite product out of all of the Clarins products was definitely the instant smooth perfecting touch, this really did 'prime' my face and got rid of any pores and fine lines. Again it is pricey and although I probably wouldn't repurchase it was a nice little product to use instead of priming the whole of my face.

Then moving on to the Avène gentle toner. I absolutely love this product. As a skincare product I would definitely repurchase this. Although I love my The Body Shop toners, this was definitely a winner. It is so gentle and soft on the skin but toners the skin and makes my face feel so much more awake and I just really love it. This toner is £13 GBP which is again a really good price in my opinion.

I really hope you've enjoyed this post, the purpose of this was to show you all that I was introducing myself to new brands that I'd never tried before and it also shows you what Cosme-de.com have to offer!

I would definitely recommend this company!

Beauty Things I Am Rubbish At.

I know I'm not the only person who completely fails at doing certain beauty tasks. I mean I can apply my lipstick well-ish, I can pick a lengthening mascara and I am better at painting my nails. However there are many things that I am rubbish at and today I thought I'd share some of them with you.

Tanning
Tanning is something I really haven't mastered, I mean when I use gradual tan like the Cocoa Brown Gradual Tan or gentle bronze (review is here.), I am not too bad. However when I apply spray tan or mousse that gives you an almost instant colouring, I am awful. I end up with streaks, I end up being darker in some places and it tends to go blotchy. I end up getting frustrated with myself and give up and this is why I cannot do fake tanning.

Foundation
Now I know you are all sat here thinking, what? How can she be bad at foundation but for the simple reason I can never get it to blend well into my skin and it looks cakey and I just hate foundation. I can't tell you the last time I wore foundation. I have picked up the lightest shades possible in some of the drugstore foundations and they look orange when applied, absolute nightmare.

Shaping My Eyebrows
Is this even a thing? Basically my eyebrows have no shape to them whatsoever and maybe I should consider going to a salon and getting them done but when I pluck my eyebrows I just can't seem to get any shape to them. They just look flat and sluggish.

Contouring
Although I try to "contour" I don't think I'd convince many people that I've done it right. I naturally have quite good cheekbones but sometimes it's nice just to emphasis them a little more but oh no, I can't do that. I never know what look to go for when "contouring" and all it looks like is that I've got the wrong shade of powder near my cheekbones.
What beauty things do you suck at?
