*Dream Dots Review.

Hello everyone. So firstly I would like to apologise for the terrible lighting for these photos. I took these a month a go and well I chose to do it at night, after school. How very foolish. So again, I am very sorry. Onto the post now though, today I am reviewing Dream Dots  and I would like to thank them for sending me these for review. I was very excited to try them to see if they would live up to my expectations.

The packaging itself is quite simple but has everything you would want to know about the product and I think this is good.

Dream Dots will help you say "goodbye to spots" and trust me, they really do work. I didn't really think they would work. In December I had a lot of angry and red spots. Dream Dots came in handy. I placed a Dream Dot onto the spot after I had cleansed my face and left it on while I was sleeping (so for 8 hours) and when I peeled it off in the morning and then washed my face, the spot had reduced in size which was brilliant. It also wasn't as red, making it less noticeable.

I have done this on every red spot since and my skin has just improved greatly. They are a good investment and I would highly recommend them. I mean let's be honest here, waking up to have a spot at the surface looking all angry and red, is not what a woman wants. I have tried many products to zap and reduce my spots but none of them have worked as quick and effectively as Dream Dots.

So you may be wondering how I found out about them and well, I had seen lots of beauty bloggers on twitter and on their blogs reviewing Dream Dots and so I decided I wanted to at least have a chance of reviewing this product.

According to the Dream Dots website:

' A Dream Dot isn't simply a sticker - it's a unique super absorbent cross - linked hydro matrix patch'. Which in simple terms they're tiny, thin and clear waterproof discs with an adhesive side containing a gel, which when applied over your blemish and left overnight, it should create an environment that will hopefully (fingers crossed) help to heal your blemish by reducing the anger, redness and inflammation.

Dream Dots work by acting like a second skin (this is definitely a weird thing to say, I know) but it creates a moist healing environment by maintaining the ideal pH balance, temperature and hydration levels that you need to allow the blemish to heal itself overnight without any outside irritants. Basically in short words it protects your spot.

While you sleep the little patch will swell up and turn white because it absorbs the badness excreted from the blemish, so that when you remove the patch when you wake up in the morning, you should be able to see a visible reduction in redness and size, which I did. I like how the patch turns white because this way, you definitely know that it is doing something to your skin.

Before applying a Dream Dot onto the skin, make sure you have cleansed your face or this is what I do anyway. Then you can apply it onto clean, dry skin (on the blemish of course) and leave it on overnight and you won't have to worry. Leave it on for at least 6-10 hours, so that it has plenty of time to work. On the other hand if you don't plan to go anywhere you could wear one in the house, during the day. Although you may get some funny looks if you forget you are wearing one and answer the door or go to the supermarket. They do turn quite invisible at night but you can see them a bit clearer during the day.

I would say that when you remove your Dream Dot in the morning, do wash your face or cleanse because I did find that once you remove it, there is a sticky residue on your face. It is probably bacteria, so I'd definitely wipe it away.

A pack of twenty-four dots costs €14.95 and the larger pack of forty-eight will cost you €24.95.

You can buy them on their website here or at some pharmacies nationwide.

Have you tried Dream Dots?

January Empties #2

Hello everyone. So today I have a January empties post for you. It is my goal to have at least one empties post a month or every 2 months. So I'm kicking off with my January empties, now I would firstly like to apologise to you all because the photo quality of these that I have taken isn't very good mainly because I finished some of these at different points in January and didn't have a 'empties bag' but alas I have found one just in time to collect all of my February empties. So I promise that next month's empties will be a lot better in photo quality - please don't judge!

The first bundle that I finished at the beginning of January, I was actually really impressed with how many things I had used up. It is my goal this year to finish all my old products before I buy new ones because this way, I will save a lot of money.

Alberto Balsam Apple Shampoo - If you've been reading my blog for a while I may have mentioned that this is my favourite shampoo of all time. It was a discovery I made about 2/3 years ago and I have never looked back. It is so affordable at only £1 and makes my hair feel amazing and gets rid of all the grease! I have such greasy hair and this solves it in a flash. I would definitely recommend this product to people who have greasy hair. I got through so many of these bottles it's actually ridiculous, so the only downside is that they don't last me very long but overall one of my favourite hair products that smells amazing.

Rating out of 10: 9/10.

Would I repurchase? - Absolutely!

Imperial Leather Silk Roll On - So this was a discovery I made about a year ago, I just wanted a nice cheap roll on that would do the job and so I picked this one up at my local Savers and I tend to buy two at the same time so that I don't have to keep going out and buying them as I go through so many of them. At only £0.79p they are so affordable! Even though I keep repurchasing this and have probably gone through 8 bottles since I first discovered this product, I definitely feel like I have to try something new. If you have any recommendations, let me know in the comments!

Rating out of 10 - 7/10

Would I repurchase? - Maybe in the future but I want to try something new!

*Skinetica - Last year I got sent a big bottle of Skinetica and a travel size version and I have only just finished the travel size version. I'm not going to go into too much detail about this product as I did a review here but it was a great product to use. I probably wouldn't repurchase this product because of it's price tag though. One bottle is £9.50 but they do bundles too.

Rating out of 10 - 7/10

Would I repurchase? - Back when I did my review I would but now I have reflected properly I wouldn't.

The Body Shop Seaweed Toner - The Body Shop is one of my favourite brands of all time, I absolutely love it. Most of my skincare products are from The Body Shop and I'd love to say that I'm very dedicated to it. I have been getting things from The Body Shop for about 4/5 years now and I have absolutely no regrets. The Body Shop's Seaweed Toner has got to be my favourite toner during the summer months or when my skin is going through a greasy stage. I actually bought this in store and it cost about £2/£3 which I think is pretty good considering that it is travel size and it did last me up to 6 months which was impressive, as I used it a lot. I just feel so clean on my skin once I have used this and I love the smell of it. Everything about it impresses me and I was very sad when it was empty.

Rating out of 10 - 10.

Would I repurchase? - Absolutely, I just need to use my tea tree and aloe toners up first!

Anatomicals no more white bits fake tan mousse - One of the worse purchases I have ever made. When I first started using this product it was perfect, it was never streaky, it wasn't orange and it was so easy to apply. Then after about 2 weeks the product started to not foam up into a mousse and it was all runny and it made application very messy, it made such a mess and that was not what I wanted. After a month the mousse started to turn green on my skin and then I had to stop using it and I had to throw it away, so technically I didn't finish this product but I wanted to include it in an empties post instead. I was really disappointed with this product considering what I paid for it and I just wouldn't recommend it.

Rating out of 10 - 1 (It worked at first but after it was a nightmare)

Would I repurchase - No!

Batiste Dry Shampoo Monochrome - I know a lot of people love Batiste dry shampoo but sadly I am not one of them. I hate how my hair feels when I use this dry shampoo and it makes my hair look white/grey looking even when I have brushed it through. I know people will say, just get the coloured version but to be honest I'd much rather just wash my hair. The only good thing is the smell but that's about it.

Rating out of 10 - 1

Would I repurchase? - No!

Endekay Mouthwash - I didn't actually buy this product as my dentist actually told me to use it and now I have finished it. I won't be rating this or repurchasing this as the dentist prescribed me it but it was an ok mouth wash to use.

Boux Avenue Rose Bud Bath Petals - I got these in a beauty giveaway box in August/September time and omg they were amazing. They made my bath water so soft and smelt amazing. They were quite a luxurious product for me, as these types of things have never really been me. The only downside I think to these are that they are £4 and that is a lot of money for only a few rose petals. I could get 4 bottles of my shower gel for that price but they would be a lovely gift for someone.

Rating out of 10 - 5/10

Would I repurchase? - Probably not but they are lovely as a gift!

I Love... Lollipop bubble bath/shower gel - Again I got this in the beauty giveaway box that I won back in August/September and it was an alright consistency really. I thought the scent was a little too sweet for my liking but it was a lovely bubble bath. I think you can get these from Primark for £1, so they are really affordable and such a nice little gift for someone.

Rating out of 10 - 5/10

Would I repurchase? - Maybe not this scent but I'd try others!

Macadamia Oil Extract Hair Treatment - I got this from Savers a while back and I had heard quite a lot about Macadamia and thought I'd try it. This wasn't my favourite hair treatment in the world. It was quite greasy and the formula of the product just wasn't very me. It was great for the ends of my hair but not for the rest - which is disappointing considering you apply it like a hair mask. I won't be buying this again but it was great to try it.

Rating out of 10 - 3/10

Would I repurchase? - No!

Smashbox photo set pressed powder - Now I don't think you can get this exact powder anymore, so I think Smashbox have discontinued it but this powder was the love of my life.I have used it so much that the writing has come off the back, so I had to research which powder this was.  I will insert a photo below of the inside of the powder just to show you, how much I adored this powder. It was my favourite every day powder, really lightweight and kept my face from looking greasy all day.

Rating out of 10 - 8/10

Would I repurchase? - Absolutely, I just wish it wasn't discontinued.

I just thought I'd add a photo to clarify that I had used practically ever last inch of this powder. I loved it a lot.

*Beauty UK CC Cream in Shade 10 natural - The final thing I finished was this Beauty UK CC Cream in the shade 10 natural which is the lightest shade you can get. I was kindly sent this to review last year which you can read here. When I first started to use this product it looked orange on my skin, it emphasised my dry patches and it felt so heavy on my face. I then only started to put a thumb sized amount on the whole of my face and then blended it with powder which made me look slightly more me and not orange. This product was a 50/50 product for me really as I enjoyed it more towards the end of it's usage. I also don't really like the packaging because at first the product comes out so easily and then when you get to end of it, it squirts everywhere and I've had to wash my bedding quite a few times because of this.

Rating out of 10 - 5/10

Would I repurchase? - Probably not.

I hope you've enjoyed this post! What empties have you had this month?

*DISCLAIMER: Some of these products in this post had been sent for review but this has not influenced my decisions. All my opinions and views in this post are 100% honest and are my own.

New Editions to my nail polish collection.

Hello everyone. So you may have seen my 'Coming Soon to The Perks Of Meg' post and if you didn't, you can read it here however this was the last thing mention that was featured on that post. So if you did read it, then you will know that today's post is talking all about my new editions of nail polish to my original collection.

{From left to right: Rich Purple, Pink, Soft Violet, Aquamarine, Peacock, Chiffon and Goldmine.}

These nail polishes above are really tiny which is great for travel sizing however it takes you ages to apply them because the brush is so small. Also these nail polishes aren't very opaque but they are a pretty collection. These are Marks and Spencers nail polishes.

{From left to right: Peony and Chrome}

These two nail polishes are different to the smaller nail  polishes as Peony which is the pink polish is a fast drying nail polish as chrome is a metallic one. My favourite is chrome as it looks so pretty when it has been applied and these are opaque.

Here are the Bourjois 1 seconde gel nail polishes that I won in a twitter giveaway. Now I'm not going to go into detail about these two shades because if you want to know my exact thoughts on these you can go read my 'What I Won #4' post here. These shades are Rouge In Style which is the Red shade and Glitterizer which the is silver leaf effect.

This photo was taken after the first coat had been applied. As you can see most of the Marks and Spencers nail polishes weren't very opaque and didn't look as nice (these were the smaller nail polishes) although Chrome and Peony were opaque. As for the Bourjois 1 seconde gel nail polish in Rouge in Style only really needed 1 coat.

This photo was taken after the second coat had been applied.Which as you can see some of the smaller Marks and Spencers nail polishes were a little bit more opaque as some of them still didn't really get opaque.

I'm not sure how much the Marks and Spencers nail polishes were because I got them for Christmas but they are alright nail polishes but they still don't compare to Barry M.

Have you tried these nail polishes?

Disappointing Products #1.

Hello everyone. So today is a post where I share some disappointing products. Now as always I'm sure other people may disagree and say that they love these products, but these are just my opinions. Personally I didn't get along with these products but if you have tried these products I would love to know your thoughts in the comments. I also didn't take a photo of all the items but I will link the items and tell you my thoughts on them. I also want to point out that I do not like to pull any company down about a certain product they have may produced, as I may like other products from them, just not this in particular. I see these posts quite a lot in the blogosphere and thought today would be a good opportunity to share mine with you.

Revlon Colourburst Lip Butter in Sorbet - This is one of those products that I gave into the hype and I was so wrong to do so. I thought this product was going to be amazing and it just wasn't. I did quite like the colour, it was quite a nice pink and at first the consistency was creamy. However I had this product 2 months and then after that, every time I applied it, it would flake off like dry skin and it just felt awful on my lips. It also broke off and couldn't be fixed and so most of the product when in the bin which was disappointing, considering the price which is £7.99. I would definitely not repurchase this product.

Smile Brilliant Teeth Whitening Gel Kit - I was lucky enough to have won this in a giveaway, however it is the most disappointing product I have ever used. Even a whitening toothpaste worked better than this. In this kit you get a teeth guard (I think that's what it is), a brush, a tube of the whitening gel, instructions and a light that you use to shine on your teeth when you have the gel on them. Firstly when my parcel arrived, the teeth guard thing (clear) was broken therefore I had difficulties when putting it in my mouth and the light ran out after 3 weeks, which is disappointing. Mostly, this product was disappointing because I didn't see the results people said I should have and I just wouldn't recommend this product. Since I received this product I believe that smile brilliant have changed their packaging and have removed this particular kit off their website.

*Beauty UK nail polish in Rouge Rendezvous - This product really disappointed me actually as I thought it was going to be a lovely nice red. I was kindly sent this for review by Beauty UK to finish off a halloween tutorial which I did here but I didn't end up using this colour as I used another one. However I have used this nail varnish and I used it around Christmas time I was disappointed with this product mainly because when I applied this in some parts where I had painted the nail it was darker than the other and it made my nails look horrible. I'm not sure if this was the point in the nail varnish but I'm pretty sure it wasn't. However I love the name of this product and I actually do generally, really love Beauty UK nail polishes but this one was a no from me. These retail for £2.99, which is pretty reasonable and therefore wouldn't mind paying this price for a Beauty UK nail polish however this one, I wouldn't.

The last product that I found disappointing was this Lush Dark Angel Face and Body Cleanser - Me and this, did not get along. I actually love Lush products but this one wasn't a favourite. I actually won this on twitter when Lush were doing a few competitions and I am so grateful of course! I love trying new products from brands and so I enjoyed being able to try a product like this as I had never previously done that. This cleanser because it has ingredients of rhassoul mud and charcoal powder, it didn't exactly smell the best. This wasn't the only thing that put me off but also this cleanser was so messy to use and it just made my bath murky and I didn't see any improvements in my skin when I used this. However I will happily admit that I have loved most other Lush products that I have tried. This product is £6.75 for 100g and £16.88 for 250g.Therefore it's not the cheapest product in the world however I do love that this brand is against animal testing and uses organic and fresh ingredients.

So that is all the disappointing products I have to share with you all, what disappointing products have you had recently and what are your opinions on these products? I would just like to say also that just because most of these products were sent for either review or giveaway purposes, this has no effect on my opinion for them as I give 100% honest reviews and my opinions do not change because of this and they are 100% my own.

My lip balm staple.

Hello everyone. So today I'm going to be talking about my lip balm staple. Now I've been wanting to share this for a while but I just haven't gotten round to actually writing about this. Although I have to admit to you all that, during 2015 so far I've been so motivated to write my blog so far. Now I've had this lip balm for months probably about 4 now but it's amazing. I don't know why I have never tried it before because it is a lip saviour. It is a holy grail products for my lips. So now that I've babbled briefly about this product, I should probably tell you what it is, although the photo does give it away. It is the Nivea Essential Care lip balm and it is honestly one of the best. I wear this throughout the day but also if my lips are super dry or cracked, I always put this on before bed and then in a morning I wake up and my lips are soft and repaired and ready to face the world. I couldn't recommend this lip balm enough.

I love how simple the packaging is for this product, blue and white and of course that it is in stick form. I have had lots of tins of lip balms but when I think about it. It really isn't hygienic. I mean using the same stick probably isn't either but at least on the stick you only have your lips bacteria and you can wipe it, as with a tin you are putting your fingers bacteria in it. I love how easily this is to apply and the formula is great, not too thick and not too thin. It isn't sticky either, which is great. This lip balm has added ingredients such as Jojoba Oil and Shea Butter, which help to soften and repair your lips. This lip balm is super affordable too. I think I got mine on offer for a £1, as Boots normally do some sort of offer on Nivea products but I think the normal price is about £1.65.

As you can see, I've had this product 4 months now and it hasn't got much left. It may look like it has a lot but if you compare it to the size that it was when I bought it, then you can tell a big difference. You get a lot of product and it last a considerable amount of time, therefore it is totally worth the money.

From a person who suffers with dry, chapped lips, this product is perfect and is a lip saviour. It helps me to get my normal lips. Nivea do lots of other lip balms in their range, which I haven't tried except for the pearl 'n' shine one, which I wasn't too keen on.  I will, however, definitely be repurchasing this product when it runs out.

What is your lip balm staple? Have you tried the Nivea Essential Care lip balm?

Soap and Glory Hand Food Review.

Hello everyone. So today I have a review on the Soap and Glory Hand Food. Now you may have seen this post coming as I did include it in my 'Coming Soon to The Perks Of Meg' post, which if you didn't see it, you can read it here. You may even see some more previews of what is to come!

Now I haven't tried many products from Soap and Glory. Back when I first started my blog just over a year ago, I reviewed the Soap and Glory Thick and Fast Mascara which I actually think is pretty good and if you want to read my review on that product than you can read it here. Please don't judge me on the size of my photos back then! I have learnt!

I have also recently tried the Soap and Glory flake away body scrub and you will see that in my product empties at the end of this month. I will tell you my views on this product in my empties, which you will see very shortly on my blog. I didn't feel the need to review this product but you never know there could be one in the future for this product.

So now I thought it was time to review the Soap and Glory Hand Food because it has really impressed me and really changed my mind towards hand creams. Before I tried this product I used to hate hand creams, I used to hate the texture and how they made my hands feel after and I just couldn't like them. It is one thing I would have never bought until now.Now I must admit, I would have never bought this product myself but I was so lucky to win it on two occasions. You can see it being featured in my 'What I Won #3' post here.  You can also see it briefly in my 'What I Won #1' post here.

I currently have a 125ml tube and a 50ml tube of the Soap and Glory Hand Food, so I won't need to repurchase any time soon. Although I probably will at some point. This product has been my hand's winter saviour.

Soap and Glory market this product as a non - greasy, hydrating hand cream, that contains Shea butter, macadamia oil and marshmallow. Now I totally agree with the cream being non - greasy and hydrating which is really surprising. I really did doubt whether it would be non - greasy because that's what I thought all hand creams were. Not only does this product keep my hands hydrated but it also smells so good! Although I'm sure the scent is a love it or loathe it one because I know a few people think that this scent is too sickly.

Now because I currently have two bottles, I keep one at home and one in my handbag. I obviously keep the 50ml in my handbag as it is a travel size version and the 125ml version at home. It is super handy to have two but personally I would just buy the travel size version in future. It's probably not as good for value for money but it is a lot better for travelling. So my little travel size version lives in my handbag, along with my tangleteezer, diary and what other rubbish I have in there! When I am out and about, it is just so easy and quick to reach into my bag when my hands are feeling slightly dry and put some on.

I find that the formula is light which I really love about this product because I hated the idea of a thick hand cream. It has to be light otherwise it's a no go for me. Because the formula is light, this product easily absorbs into the skin, which is also good if you are in a rush. It doesn't leave you with greasy, sticky residue, which is one of the things that used to put me off hand creams, ew!

This product is perfect for that quick application that you may need on the go. If you have ever tried a hand cream that has made your hands greasy, then you will know that you end up dropping things after applying it, which is a bad thing. With this product you don't drop things after applying it (unless you are me and drop things anyway) I am the clumsiest person I know.

A downside to this product is that, although it does hydrate your hands at first, you do find that your hands get dry quite quickly. Well, this is what I have found in my case. I do end up having to re apply this quite a lot throughout the day. Which on some days that is absolutely fine but on others it can be quite a pain. I know a few people don't mind doing this because of the scent. I do like the scent but it wouldn't be an excuse to apply it again.

Although I get sensitive skin (especially on my face), I don't at this moment have sensitive hands. Which of course is good! I would say that if you do have sensitive hands then the strong amount of perfume in the formula may irritate your skin. So maybe before buying it, try someone else's or just be very careful.

As for most things, the packaging is also something that effects the way we feel about a certain product. I really like the design of the packaging for this product. It is very girly but quite basis. I feel that the names of the product from the Soap and Glory range, also make me want to buy them. I prefer that this product comes in a squeeze bottle with a flip cap, making it travel friendly but also you can control how much you apply and it keeps the product hygienic, which is always a good thing. As you know I haven't been a fan of hand creams at all but the thought of putting my hand into a tub for some hand cream, just doesn't appeal. It also gets very messy! I know some would argue that sometimes with it being in a squeeze bottle you can't get all the product out and that you can't control how much you are getting out of it but I think that you can control it easily but it is just a matter of opinion.

Even though I never paid for these bottles, as I did win them in two giveaways on separate occasions however a 125ml bottle is £5.50 and for a smaller, 50ml travel size it is £2.50. I think these prices are pretty reasonable considering the amount of product you get. However I am no hand cream expert. I have no idea what price is ideal for this type of product. Most of the time there is an offer going on in Boots with the Soap and Glory products; either 3 for 2 or Buy one get the other one half price.

Overall, I think this is a great product if you want instant smooth and scented skin. However I feel that if you're looking for a long lasting hydrating moisturiser, I don't feel that this is the one to go for.

As I say, I am no hand cream expert. However if you do have any other hand cream recommendations then I would love to know in the comments. As long as a hand cream is light and non - greasy then it will be fine.

I hope you've enjoyed this post and what are your thoughts on the Soap and Glory Hand Food?

My Current MAC Lipstick Collection.

Hello everyone. So as you can see by the boxes and the title, this is my current MAC lipstick collection. A few people have previously asked if I would do a post on my MAC lipstick collection, so here it is. You may have also seen these mentioned in my 'Coming Soon to The Perks Of Meg' post which you can read here, as you may be able to see some more posts that are coming up this month that you are interested in. Now compared to some people, my collection, well, isn't really a collection. I know lots of people have about 15/20 MAC lipsticks but mine is only small but I hope it will expand over time. I only started getting into MAC lipsticks in about August last year, so they have been something different to me. I know MAC lipsticks are expensive and to me, they are a luxury. I was very lucky to have won a giveaway back in August last year and that is where my collection started. I chose Chatterbox and that set me off. If you want to read the post where I wrote about what I had won that featured my MAC lipstick in Chatterbox then you can read it here and also if you want to read about it in my 'My favourite lipstick of 2014' then you can read that here. I then bought myself Lovelorn and called it my Christmas present from 'me to me' and then my Dad also bought me Russian Red for Christmas.

The packaging of these lipsticks are absolutely gorgeous and I just like how they are plain and simple but also look quite sleek.

Here is Russian Red. I had been lusting over this lipstick for quite some time, it had been on my wishlist for what seemed like forever. My Dad had obviously picked up on hints and bought me this. It is such a gorgeous red and I don't actually own a red lipstick so this will be perfect. It is very classy and I love how it makes your teeth look white. The formula is Matte so it can be quite drying on the lips after a while but not as bad as you would think.

Here is a swatch of it on my hand. As you can see, even though it is matte it still applies easily.

I also wore it for New Years Eve and everyone was complementing me on my lipstick. This photo doesn't do it justice.

Next is Lovelorn.I bought this lipstick online, on a total whim as I had no idea what it was like other than it looked like a pink shade. Lovelorn is a lustre finish therefore it is really glossy and wet looking but I have heard since that they don't last very long on your lips. However it is a beautiful pink shade.

{Photos from Left to Right: Lovelorn, Russian Red}

The next and final lipstick of my collection is Chatterbox, which is the perfect Barbie pink. This has an amplified finish so it isn't as matte as a matte lipstick finish but it's not glossy. I'm not going to go into too much detail about this particular lipstick as I wrote about it for my 'My favourite lipstick of 2014' post therefore you can read my thoughts on it here.

                              {Photos from Left to Right: Chatterbox, Lovelorn, Russian Red}

So that is my current MAC lipstick collection. I hope you enjoyed this post and do let me know the MAC lipsticks that you own, as I'd love to add them to my wishlist and add them to my collection eventually.

Have an amazing day!

ThePerksOfMeg 's 1st Blog Birthday.

Hello all you lovely people that read my blog. Today is a very special day if you didn't know already, it's my blog's 1st Blog birthday. It is actually mad, I never thought I would have stuck to blogging for this long and it's something that I have enjoyed so much. Now I know you are all wondering if there is a giveaway and I'm happy to announce that there will be, just not quite yet. I will have the giveaway post up as soon as possible but I just wanted to mainly do this post to thank you all a huge amount for supporting me with my blog. By commenting, emailing me, following my blog. It means a huge amount! I cannot even believe I have reached 768 followers on my blog in a year! That is such an achievement for me and I'm so happy that people enjoy what I do. The blogging community is such a big part of my life and although sometimes blogging gets difficult. You aren't in the best minds to blog or you are up to your neck in coursework, homework and even the stress of exams. Being in Y11 hasn't made blogging very easy but I still intend to carry on and even if I only put up 1 post a week, at least there is something. However I'm just going to blog as much as I can and enjoy this experience. I also cannot believe that I have reached 26,896 page views. That probably doesn't seem like such a big deal but to me, it really is.I never in a million years thought that one person would read my blog so, to get 768 followers and 26,896, it is truly mind blowing for me.

Thank you all so so much!

Magnitone Lucid Limited Edition by Pixie Lott Review.

Hello everyone. So you may have or may have not seen my 'Coming Soon to ThePerksOfMeg' post but if you didn't I basically have a sneak peek into what would be on my blog in January and this was one of the things I sneak previewed. If you want to find out what else is going to be coming up on my blog this month, you can read my post here.

So onto today's review. For Christmas I was so lucky to receive a Magnitone Lucid and it just happens to be the limited edition by Pixie Lott one. Firstly the packaging is great and who doesn't love Pixie Lott. I was really hoping she was going to win strictly... trailing off topic! I love how the brush is bright pink too and it is just up my street. I liked how it said 'Softer, Brighter and Clearer skin in 7 days' so of course I wanted to see if it lived up to my expectations.

Inside of the box it had a headband, a charger, a wireless travel charger, an instruction manual and some other bits and bobs that comes with the product and of course the brush itself.

I really like how the brush has a cover so that it doesn't get damaged in anyway. I also love that this brush is waterproof, therefore I don't have to worry about damaging it with water. I think that this brush is a great size too, great for travelling.

The brush head is so soft and doesn't irritate the skin in any way. The brush head that I have on my brush now is the active clean brush. You are supposed to change your brush heads every 3 months or when they start to discolour. The replacement head aren't exactly cheap, rolling in at £15.99 for a 2 pack. However I feel that if the brush works, which it does then it is totally worth the money.

I must apologise for my horrible nails. My nail polish has been chipping off and I haven't had chance to paint them. I love how Magnitone is imprinted on the back of the brush.

As you can see when you are using the brush, a light comes on and you can have it on 2 settings; deep clean or sensitive. I've been using the setting deep clean and it has worked wonders. I also love how after 20 seconds the brush bleeps so that you know to move onto the next section.

I have been using this product since Boxing Day now and I absolutely love it. I'm so glad to have it in my skincare routine. My skin has improved so much. Even within the first two days my skin felt refreshed and a lot smoother. Within 5 days my skin looked brighter and within about 8 days my skin looked so much clearer. Therefore my Magnitone Lucid has definitely met my expectations and I'm so pleased I got this for christmas.

A Magnitone Lucid retails for £69.99.

Have you tried the Magnitone Lucid? What do you think of this brush?
