My 2014 skincare favourites/discoveries.

Hello everyone. So I know most people are doing a general 2014 favourites and I was going to do it but in all honesty, I don't feel as though I have any favourite 2014 make up discoveries at this moment therefore I've decided that if I do have any, I will put them into a post next year at some point. The category that has really stood out to me this year is skincare. I have found lots of new discoveries, that I can say I'd happily repurchase.

The first discovery I found this year was Lush's Love Lettuce fresh face mask. I bought this when I had my very first visit to Lush and it was a great product. If you want to read about my thoughts on it then you can read my review here, which I did back in March. Back in March my photos were tiny and so was my writing but this shows my learning curve of my blogging experience.

The next product I discovered was The Body Shop Aloe Calming Toner and what I really like about this product is that it is travel size and travel friendly and people feel that 60ml isn't a lot but this has lasted me 6 months. This is great for when you are having a sensitive skin day or if you have sensitive skin in general. This product doesn't smell of anything but it is delicate on the skin. I also think the packaging is very simple. I really like this product.

The next discovery I found in 2014 is the Clinique rinse -off foaming cleanser. It is a great creamy cleanser that takes your make up off effortlessly and it makes your skin so soft. I will definitely be purchasing the full version of this product.

Again, I have another Clinique product that has been a favourite of mine and this is the liquid facial soap in mild. This is a great facial soap and you only need the tiniest amount for your whole face therefore it is great value for money. I have 3 tubes of this now in the sample size, so I have enough to last me. Even though I would purchase the full version of this product I do feel that because it is a facial soap there are cheaper alternatives.

The next product is a discovery that I got in September but I didn't really use it until October. It is the deep steep moisture stick and this is the honeydew-spearmint scent. In October my eczema was really bad. Now I know you probably shouldn't use this product near your eyes but my eczema is under my eyes and on my eyelids therefore I do use this product on those areas. I apply this product on my dry areas (eczema) and leave it on for 15 minutes and then I take it off and in 15 minutes those areas are now soft and supple rather than dry and flaky. It is a very quick fix when I need my skin to be at it's best for make up. I would really recommend this product to you if you have dry patches or dry skin.

The final skincare discovery/favourite of 2014 is the Soap and Glory Hand Food which has been a saviour this winter. It keeps my hands so soft and hydrated and it has really changed my opinion on using a hand cream. I will be doing a full review of this product on my blog in January 2015, so keep your eyes open for it. I also featured this big bottle in my 'What I won #3' post, which if you are interested you can read about it here.

So they are all my 2014 skincare favourites/discoveries, what are yours?

My favourite lipstick of 2014.

Hello everyone. I hope you've had a lovely December. December has not been the best month for me but I thought I would end it on a high by telling you all about some of my favourite products and the last Christmas posts that I have, so that 2015 will start with a bang! I am really excited about this new year and I have lots of things that I am looking forward to, including my blog's first blog birthday which is in January! On a side note before I talk about my favourite lipstick of 2014, I would like to wish my Grandad a happy birthday, he is 80 today and I will be spending my day with him!

Now onto the post, I was never really into lipsticks. They weren't thing I would go out and buy and feel excited over it, until this lipstick came into my life. Sorry to all you drugstore girls out there because this lipstick is high end and pricing up at £15.50.

I was actually lucky enough to win a giveaway a few months back, read about it here and I got to pick a MAC lipstick of my choice and I chose this one. I have never looked back since and that giveaway has definitely changed my mind and now I am much more willing to spend £15.50 on a lipstick.

MAC lipsticks in my opinion are very luxurious, Chatterbox which is an amplified lipstick is the shade I have. I haven't stopped wearing this lipstick, since I got it.

MAC's Amplified lipsticks give an opaque coverage, which are similar to the matte formula, but are less drying on the lips. They tend to last 3-4 hours which is great.

I do agree that they give a opaque coverage and at times they can be very drying, more in winter. However I love this shade. This shade is a "barbie" pink and it makes me feel very girly.

I also love the smell of MAC lipsticks, vanilla scented.

Please excuse my horrible nails on that above photo, they were due for a paint.

I find that this lipstick is very buildable on colour and is very natural. You could wear this during the day and night time and I feel this is another reason I love this lipstick so much. I am a neutral kind of girl so this is perfect.

What's your favourite lipstick from MAC? What is your favourite lipstick of 2014?

Thanks for reading, as always and have a great day!

What I Got For Christmas 2014.

Hello everyone. So I've seen quite a few of these posts going around the blogosphere. I've been debating whether to actually write this and post it, as I feel that most people would say it is 'bragging'. I am in no way bragging about what I have received for Christmas. I got quite a lot this year and I asked on twitter if people would like to see what I got and most people said yes. So here I am sharing with you what I have got. I am extremely grateful for everything I have received this year. The only things I haven't included which I got for Christmas are the sweets, chocolate, pyjamas, some hot chocolate and a mug that said 'home sweet home', the reason that I'm not showing these things is because I may have eaten them or they are put in a place where I am too lazy to go get it/them. I also thought that I had enough to talk about and so lets begin.

I'm really sorry that some of the photos aren't very clear on what I have got but I do intend to review most of these products through the year on my blog, so you will see close ups at some point. I was very lucky and I got a few more MAC lipsticks to add to my collection. I've only just realised that I put an older one in the post too (ooops) but my MAC lipsticks are Chatterbox (which I already had) and for Christmas I got Russian Red and Lovelorn. I also got a cute little make up bag that came with some make up, which you will see later on in the post. I got several nail polishes. I got some baking books which I was so excited about, along with a pretty bracelet from Joma Jewellery. Hot chocolate, washi tape, a pen and some stickers. I got Elf on DVD, this is one of my favourite Christmas movies! I also got the 'one line a day' 5 year memory book which I had on my list and I was so happy to get it. I got some gloves that you can use with your phone, a hot water bottle and a Magnitone Lucid and it is the limited edition Pixie Lott one, which I was over the moon with.

As you can see above, I got lots and lots of The Body Shop products, my family know me too well. I am a big fan of The Body Shop and so all of these things will be perfect. I will be doing separate reviews of everything in this photo, so you can hear my thoughts and get some close ups of the products.

I was also lucky enough to get a whole collection of the Montagne Jeunesse face masks, along with a body scrub and a body smoothie. Very exciting! I also got some Soap and Glory products and some others which I'm not sure what the brand is. I was so delighted to get Snow Fairy by Lush for Christmas, I have never tried this yet! So I'm very excited. I also got some more The Body Shop products.

For Christmas I was very lucky and people bought me lots of perfume. I got a Ted Baker one, a Marks and Spencers one (that came in a set with some make up), Lady Gaga fame perfume and a Gucci perfume which is Flora - I must say that the Gucci perfume was sent by the lovely company cosme-de.com and there will be a review of all of this to come in January, so keep your eyes peeled!

I also got some more make up brushes, some make-up revolution products, Marks and Spencers make up and a Nivea Kit that has the eye make up remover, day cream and face wipes in it.

The final thing I'm going to show you, is this beautiful necklace from New Look. My auntie and me were looking in there a few days before Christmas and I told her how I loved it and she surprised me and bought me it, which I thought was really cute.

I've added a few links to where you can buy the products I received but most of them you can get at the shops I have mentioned.

Thank you for reading my 'What I Got For Christmas 2014' post and I'd love to know what you got for Christmas too! If any of you have any posts up about what you got for Christmas, feel free to comment them below!

What I've Won #3.

Hello everyone. I know I should probably be telling you about my 2014 favourites but I just haven't got round to it with being so poorly. So today I thought I'd share with you a post that I've been meaning to do for a while.

A few months back I won the fabulous  Tania Michele's blog giveaway and I was absolutely thrilled. Her blog is here so please check it out. I read her blog religiously! I was so happy to have won it and I got sent all these fabulous prizes! I got 2 notebooks which are super handy! A face mask which wasn't my favourite thing to use but it did make my skin feel smooth! A plum soap which smells so lovely! A W7 concealer with tea tree but it's slightly too dark but never mind. A Fake Bake beyond Bronze palette which is so pigmented and gorgeous! I got some eyelashes but I'm unsure of the brand. A nail file which is super pretty and will come in handy and then one of my favourite items is the Soap and Glory Hand Food and it is a massive tube so it will last me so long!

I'm so thankful for winning these and it's been a lovely way to introduce me to some new products that I may not have tried! I want to thank Tania for doing this giveaway and for being so so kind to me.

Have you won anything this month?

Lincoln Christmas Market.

Hello all, I hope you had a lovely Christmas, I'm really sorry for the lack of posts but December hasn't been the best month for me and my health. I spent Christmas Day throwing up and couldn't eat my dinner, I was so gutted. I have then spent Boxing day feeling still very poorly. I'm not feeling great either today but I wanted to share with you, my last festive kind of post for the year and that is when I went to Lincoln Christmas Market at the start of December. This is a photo heavy post, just giving you a warning. I ate some kind of german sausage, had dutch pancakes and took photos of the cathedral and big wheel that they had. I had a lovely day and I enjoyed it a lot.

This is just a quick post to tell you about my little absence and for you to look at some photos that I took.

In all honesty I was so proud of the photos I had taken at Lincoln market, especially of the cathedral.

I hope you're having a lovely day!

*Makeup Revolution Haul/review.

Hello everyone. Today I have a Make up Revolution Haul/review post for you today and I thought this post would give you inspiration for products you might want to buy as christmas stocking presents etc as they are really affordable and some are really good dupes of other well known brands.

Firstly I'll start off by talking about the I Heart Makeup, I heart definition in Fair. This is very similar to the sleek face form palettes and is half the price. This palette has a nice contour and blush shade but the highlight isn't the best but for the price you can't really complain. It is very compact and is great for on the go. This can be bought here for £4.99.

The next product I will talk about is the Makeup Revolution Focus and Fix Eyebrow Shaping Kit which I actually really love. There are a lot of eyebrow products out at the moment and I had already tried a few other kits from different brands such as Beauty UK. However this was such a difference and it didn't make my brows look too dark or too light when applying. It is a very compact set which is what I like and it is so travel friendly. At £2.50 it is such a bargain and I would really recommend this product. This is the shade light - medium.

We now move onto the Makeup Revolution liquid concealer which is an okay concealer. I'd say it isn't as good as my Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer however it is quite creamy and is okay for a light, natural look. It isn't that great for coverage but it isn't the worst concealer I have ever tried and for £1.50 - it is a bargain! This is in the shade natural.

This product is the Makeup Revolution Pure Pigments and this is in the shade Indirect.  These are also known as eye dusts. I have never tried pigments before so I didn't really know what to expect although all I knew was; they had to be really pigmented. This was a huge disappointment. It isn't that pigmented and I couldn't even really see this shade when I applied it, even when I applied a lot. The packaging is so messy and you can't really get the pigment out - I had to make the holes bigger and still the product didn't come out very well. I wouldn't recommend this product. These retail for £1.

The last product I have to tell you about is the makeup revolution lipstick in 100% vamp which I used in my halloween look here. This is quite  nice colour. I wouldn't say it's very me but it is good for fancy dress (most people would probably wear this colour) I'm just a neutral kind of girl. It was quite drying on the lips and didn't look as good as some lipsticks do but for £1, it is still a bargain.

So that is all of my Makeup Revolution review/haul for you! I would like to thank the lovely people at Makeup Revolution for sending me these products to review.

Have you tried any of these products?
